Central Florida Young Professionals
Advisory Council (YPAC)

Cathryn DeCecco, Market Affairs Specialist, Florida Blue, serves as Chair of the Central Florida Young Professionals Advisory Council (YPAC) for the 2014 – 2015 term, with 50 new YPAC members, having been identified by their employers who are Investors in the Central Florida Partnership.

The goal of the Central Florida Young Professionals Advisory Council (YPAC) is to provide the Board of Directors of the Central Florida Partnership with consistent and thoughtful input from a younger generation; one that will be asked to live with the "opportunities exercised" and the "challenges met" when it comes to our "collective future." Capitalizing on the momentum of the growing regional, state and national issues, YPAC is engaging the advice and counsel of young professionals in matters of consequence to our "family of communities."

Listening carefully to the voices of young professionals, especially when it comes to key community issues, will help us better frame the public policy debate across the Central Florida Region. We remain committed to an issue-driven advisory body; one that does not circumvent existing groups and organizations of young professionals. In fact, our goal is to complement the many efforts that are already in place and currently underway.

As our Chair for a two-year term, January 1, 2014 – December 31, 2015 term, DeCecco is responsible for assisting with conducting our meetings, and establishing and maintaining proper protocols with the Board of Directors of the Central Florida Partnership.
