You're Invited to Participate in a Tradition of Service and Sharing

You're invited to participate in the Baker Hostetler Central Florida Partnership "Trip to Washington, D.C.," planned for Wednesday and Thursday, May 11 & 12, 2011.  For almost 25 years, the Central Florida Partnership has been "hosting" an annual visit to Washington, D.C., traveling with civic, business and government leaders from across our Super Region to our Nation's Capital.  Don't miss out, it will be great to have you on the "traveling team."

Only Forty Seats Are Available – Make Your Reservations Now

After confirming travel cost, accommodations and associated expenses, we have established a price of $1,095 per person with a Government Rate of $895 available for Elected Officials.  This will include roundtrip airfare, all transportation costs, hotel accommodations for one night, taxes, gratuities, meeting materials and all scheduled meals.

Things Are Changing – Priorities Being "Framed Anew" – We Are "In Play"

The 112th Congress has convened and already we are seeing changes that will affect our Nation, our State and our Central Florida Region.  With a new Republican Majority assuming control in the U.S. House of Representatives, and a significantly strengthened Republican Minority in the U.S. Senate, many critical national issues are being "framed anew."  Surfacing in the new Congress will be many important issues impacting the Central Florida Region.  Topping the list of issues receiving serious attention during the 2011 Baker Hostetler Central Florida Partnership "Trip to Washington, D.C." will be Aerospace Research and Development.

"Face-to-Face" Meetings With Members of Our Congressional Delegation

Participants on this year's Baker Hostetler Central Florida Partnership "Trip to Washington, D.C.," will meet Florida's Senior U.S. Senator Bill Nelson (D-FL) and Florida's brand new U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), along with several new faces in the Central Florida Congressional Delegation; newly-elected Congresswoman Sandy Adams (R-Oviedo), newly-elected Congressman Richard Nugent (R-Brooksville), newly-elected Congressman Dennis Ross (R-Lakeland) and newly-elected Congressman Dan Webster (R-Winter Garden).  They will also celebrate the elevation of Congressman John Mica (R-Winter Park), to the powerful post of Chair of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
