Long-time Orlando-area real estate professional Richard T. "Dick" Fryer, ABR, DREI, SRES, has been appointed by Governor Charlie Crist to the seven-member Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC). Based in Orlando, FREC is administered by the Division of Real Estate, which overseas real estate licensees statewide. FREC is comprised of five real estate licensees and two consumer members. “This is quite an honor to be one of a handful of licensees in the state invited to sit on this prominent body of the real estate industry,” says Fryer, who is president of both IFREC Real Estate Schools and Southern Style Real Estate. A licensed real estate broker and instructor, Fryer has been in the real estate industry for more than three decades. He served as President of the Florida Real Estate Educators Association (1995) and was 2002 President of the national Real Estate Educators Association. In 2002, he also served as president of the Orlando Regional Realtor® Association, as well as vice president of the Florida Association of Realtors®. In 2003, the Florida State University graduate was named Orlando Realtor® of the Year. Mr. Fryer served as Class Chair for Leadership Orlando Class 67, was a member of the Leadeship Alumni Board of Directors and served as a Leadership Steward. Dick Fryer can be reached at 407-571-2436.
