Leadership Orlando Can't Wait

If you have been looking for the “right” time to participate in Leadership Orlando, or know someone who should be in the room for timely community discussions, now is indeed the perfect time to be a part of America’s largest Community Leadership program because Leadership Can’t Wait!  Enrollment is currently underway for Class 80, scheduled to begin September 15-16, 2010.

During the recent Change of Command Ceremonies at Orlando’s Naval Air Warfare Center, Capt. William “Roto” Reuter became its Commanding Officer.  He will also be “in command” of Leadership Orlando Class 80 as its Class Chair.  A U. S. Navy fighter pilot, Captain Reuter has over 3,000 hours of flight time in 33 different aircraft, of which over 2,100 are in the F/A-18, including 300 hours in the F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet.  Leadership Orlando is honored that he will pilot Class 80 to new heights!

Space is limited, so don’t delay!  The online enrollment form and the full schedule may be accessed at www.orlando.org/leadership.  Should you have questions, contact Vice President Kathy Panter at 407.835.2499 or via email at Kathy.panter@orlando.org.

Developing regional leaders is important to the future success of the Central Florida Region. That is why “Regional Leadership” is a primary line of business for the Central Florida Partnership.  Preparing for the future of our region is up to each one of us.  Now is the time to learn about the issues, participate in the complex conversations and help in guiding our future.

Leadership Orlando is a community leadership program designed to connect and engage community leaders across the Central Florida Region examining the challenges and opportunities that will shape our future. Since 1975, Leadership Orlando has been an innovator in the way that it delivers cutting-edge experiences, explores timely and controversial topics, and enlists top-notch faculty to guide its community conversations.

To accomplish that purpose Leadership Orlando classes meet for a series of nine day-long sessions over eight months. While the curriculum may change based on current developments in the region, Leadership Orlando sessions always emphasize the People, Place, Purpose and Possibilities that our community has to offer.
