Webster received the award from the 2009 Chamber Chair Pat Engfer at a sold-out luncheon hosted by the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce (Orlando Inc.) in Downtown Orlando on Nov. 17, 2008 with 2010 House Speaker-designate Dean Cannon (R-Winter Park) serving as Master of Ceremonies.

Cannon called the special community luncheon “An extraordinary day in the life of our community as we gather to salute the distinguished and dedicated service of Sen. Webster.  He has been a public servant who has served our community with dignity,
honor and integrity.”

Recalling the event which drew state and community leaders from throughout Florida, Chamber Vice President for Public Policy Mike Ketchum stated, “The community outpouring that day for Sen. Webster was an extraordinary testament to the honor, decency and integrity which characterized his many years of public service to our state and region.”
