Monday, December 5, 2011 11:00 am

An “Informational Meeting” regarding “No Casinos for Florida,” with Special Guest Speaker, John Sowinski, President, “No Casinos for Florida,” is planned for Tuesday, December 13, 2011, from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m., at the Chamber of Commerce Building, 75 South Ivanhoe Boulevard, in Downtown Orlando.

Also invited to be Honored Speakers at the “Informational Meeting” regarding “No Casinos for Florida” are:

Representative Stephen L. Precourt
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer
Gary C. Sain, President, Visit Orlando
Rick L. Weddle, President, Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission
Steve Hogan, CEO, Florida Citrus Sports

At its November Board Meeting, the Central Florida Partnership passed a Resolution in support of the work of “No Casinos for Florida.”

This matter is of huge importance to the future of our community and to the future of our state; as a result, the Central Florida Partnership is pleased to host this “Informational Meeting,” allowing “folks” to learn more about the important work of “No Casinos for Florida,” and why the Central Florida Partnership, and others, are working to make sure gambling is not expanded in Florida.

For further information or to RSVP for the “Informational Meeting” on December 13, contact Pam Clancy at pam.clancy@orlando.org or by phone at 407.835.2486.

Central Florida Partnership - Ideas to Results
The Central Florida Partnership is a collaborative of business and civic leaders committed to procuring a better tomorrow for Central Florida's seven counties - Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole and Volusia. We are thoughtful leaders united by a single, guiding principle - that we have both the power and the responsibility to make change happen.

Working together, through four lines of business – Orlando, Inc. (Regional Entrepreneurship), BusinessForce (Regional Public Policy Advocacy), myregion.org (Regional Research & Resolves) and Leadership Orlando (Regional Leadership) – the Central Florida Partnership is moving “Ideas to Results.”
