Chair of the Central Florida Legislative Delegation Listens to Concerns
The Central Florida Legislative Delegation is made up of Florida Senators and Florida Representatives representing the Central Florida Region (Brevard, Orange, Lake, Osceola, Polk, Seminole and Volusia Counties). Along these lines, special thanks are in order for Representative Chris Dorworth, Chair of the Central Florida Legislative Delegation, for the "extra effort" he made to attend the Regional Reception and Dinner, an important part of "A Regional Gathering" - Moving "Ideas to Results." Special thanks, too, to Stuart L. Rogel, President of the Tampa Bay Partnership, for his attendance and active participation; and also to Dee Allsop, Ph.D., CEO, Managing Partner, Heart + Mind Strategies, for his inspirational message, when it comes to sharing ideas about how to advance our shared agenda across the entire Central Florida Region.
A Powerful Workbook Guided the Conversations of the Participants
How our world has changed since the beginning of the "Great Recession;" regional unemployment spiked to close to 12%; state and local governments have faced severe declines in revenue, calling into question how we fund our regional priorities. Traditional mainstay industries like housing and construction have been in free-fall, while others, like healthcare are continuing to expand. Given these monumental changes, "A Regional Gathering" - Moving "Ideas to Results," presented the perfect opportunity to take another look at our shared vision - and how it can be adapted to address our region's "new normal," from "How Shall We Grow?" to "How Will We Build a Prosperous and Livable Region?" With this in mind, the Central Florida Regional Caucus created a Central Florida Regional Workbook which guided the conversations of the participants, with "notes and notations" being assembled right now which will be provided to everyone "in the room," and will the platform for future conversations of the Central Florida Regional Caucus.
Central Florida Partnership Is Working To Turn "Ideas to Results"

Serving business, civic and community leaders in Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole and Volusia Counties - the Central Florida Partnership is a business led initiative where we will collaborate, cooperate and coordinate - solving the problems that matter most to the millions of people who live, work, learn and play in the Central Florida Region. The Central Florida Partnership is guided by its Regional Priorities, which serve as guide posts for the important work of the Central Florida Partnership and all of its "Lines of Business," all working together to turn "Ideas to Results."
