The Community Foundation of Central Florida is a public grant making foundation established in 1994 as a home for Central Florida philanthropists. Today, thanks to the generosity of hundreds of individuals, families and corporations, the Community Foundation has grown to hold nearly 400 named charitable funds with assets of more than $50 million, and has awarded cumulative grants of more than $17 million. By managing and investing donor funds, connecting donors with projects they felt passionate about and enabling donors to make informed decisions through research, the Community Foundation fulfills its mission of "Building Community by Building Philanthropy."
Florida Institute of Technology is an independent technological university that provides quality education, furthers knowledge through basic and applied research, and serves the diverse needs of our local, state, national and international constituencies. Since it was established in 1958 as Brevard Engineering College to offer continuing education opportunities to scientists, engineers and technicians working for NASA and the Kennedy Space Center, more than 37,000 students have earned degrees at Florida Institute of Technology. Debbie joined Ron Jon in 2000 as Director of Merchandise Buying. Debbie is a seasoned retail executive who started her career at what is now Federated Department Stores after graduating with a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Florida. She rose through the ranks from executive trainee to store management to buying. After Federated she joined Beall’s Department store as a Vice President, and then went on to be a Vice President of Apparel at the Home Shopping Network. Immediately prior to joining Ron Jon Debbie was the Vice President of Juniors for Goody’s Department Store out of Knoxville Tenn. In addition to her duties at Ron Jon, Debbie is the current Chairman of the Board of the Florida Retail Federation and an active member of Leadership Florida. In addition she is a board member of the Brevard Zoo, a board member of the Cocoa Beach Chamber of Commerce, and a mentor for Take Stock in Children. In her spare time she enjoys traveling with her husband, Richard Lane, or just enjoying the beautiful State of Florida.

In Central Florida since 2006, Paul Shaffer is the Chief Financial Officer for G&T Conveyor Company, Inc., the largest privately held turnkey Baggage Handling Systems manufacturer in the United States. American owned and operated, G&T and its alliance partners have successfully delivered more than 500 turnkey airport projects on five continents. G&T’s manufacturing facility, one of the largest and most modern in the U.S., utilizes state-of -the-art equipment to enable precision built products. G&T has regional offices in Anchorage, Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco and Seattle all reporting to G&T Conveyor’s Corporate Headquarters in Tavares, FL, an hour north of Orlando. Previously, Shaffer served as CFO of Priority America, a $250 million transportation & logistics company; Partner & COO of Fox Capital, a mid-west venture capital firm; and held similar positions with other transportation & manufacturing companies, including the start-up team at RPS (now Fed X Ground) & Landstar. He started his career with Arthur Young, public accounting firm, having earned his BA in accounting from St. Vincent College.
